mijn moeder is hier!

My mom is here for the week and I could not be more excited!!!!! It was so great to see her! :) This morning I picked her and Leona up for a week in Holland/Belgium. Ill work (sadly) and they see the sights, but itll be great to have them here for awhile.

She brought TONS of stuff for me: everything from my favorite lotion to iced tea to rotel for cheese dip (yes it may sound silly but you really come to appreciate little things from home when youve been away for 10 weeks!!). AND both she and Stu's mom sent me super awesome brides magazines for me to look through!!! YES!!!!!! You know what Ill be doing for the next couple of weeks :) For everyone in the office she brought these delights...

TEXAS COOKIES from Posh in Houston. Everyone in the office LOVED them. Although it was funny, a couple of people asked if Grandma made them. (Her pralines made a huge impression....she is pretty famous here in Beverwijk)

In other news, as I am sure you all know :) America "sprung forward" on Sunday but the Netherlands does not until March 28th so for two weeks, there is now a six hour time difference, which makes it even more tricky to chat with people at home. I had really never thought about different countries observing daylight savings at different times....learn something new everyday!
